What We
Believe |
 |
These are foundational truths of which we base our
beliefs and standard principles by which we govern
our lives.
Statement of
Faith
Having
committed myself to the teachings of Jesus Christ
and having experienced the acceptance, forgiveness
and redemption of God our Father through His Son, I
join in spiritual relationship with this church and
ministry. With God’s help through the guiding
presence of His spirit, I will strive by principle
and practice to uphold this covenant.
I believe the
Bible to be fully written by men who were divinely
inspired by the Spirit of God concerning all matters
of life, faith and conduct.
I believe that
there is one God who is the only true and living
triune God. I maintain that a relationship with God
is essential and should be the central focus to
achieve an accomplished, balanced, victorious,
abundant, successful, prosperous, and productive
life that is full of wisdom, knowledge and power to
fulfill the needs of one’s “whole” self.
I believe in
the Blessed Trinity. By God, through God and for God
were all things created. By the Son and through His
power, blood, and resurrection, all things were
manifested, established, and fulfilled. By the
indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we are comforted,
kept, influenced, and empowered to live.
I believe
Jesus Christ to be the only begotten Son of God,
born of the virgin Mary, crucified, died and buried;
and has risen from the dead to redeem us from a life
of sin. Having accepted Him as my personal Savior I
strive to live according to the principles to which
He has taught.
I believe in
the Holy Spirit whose indwelling is evidenced by the
speaking of tongues; supported by ones Christian
character; and, maintained through a dedicated and
committed life, demonstrating principles of Kingdom
living. The Holy Spirit is a governing and keeping
power that sustains and maintains right relationship
with God, empowering all to live a fruitful and
productive life in this present world.
I believe that
Satan is an actual spirit, and not an imaginary
influence. He is a real and active force opposing
God and man in every age. He once enjoyed high
heavenly honors and glorious heavenly privileges;
but through pride, ambition, and self-will attempted
to betray the Almighty, bringing down upon his head
the judgment of God. He operates today as the god of
this world and prince of the power of the air, being
the father of all lies, the greatest enemy, the
mightiest tempter, and the most relentless accuser
of the saints. He shall be cast into the lake of
fire, the eternal place of punishment, prepared for
him, his angels, and those who follow him.
I believe that
man was originally created in the image and after
the likeness of God; and that through voluntary
transgression, fell from his high, holy, and happy
state; thus inflicting consequence and penalty for
entering into a life of sin.
I believe that
the only means of being cleansed from sin is through
true repentance and faith in the redemptive work of
Christ on the Cross.
I believe that
Baptism in water is an outward sign of an inward
change taught, shown, and fulfilled in the
scriptures by Jesus Christ and confirmed by the
council of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
I believe the
Five-fold Ministry, being that of Apostles,
Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers – is
there for the perfecting of saints.
I believe in
the Blessed Hope, which is the Rapture of the
Saints, which are in Christ at His return.
Affirmation
I believe that
this church offers spiritual development and
reinforces the importance of spiritual stability and
maturity founded and grounded with an understanding
of the Gospel and power of Jesus Christ. Through
membership, I can be prepared and equipped with
essential, fundamental, and foundational principles
to successfully move toward a destiny that awaits me
as I strive to fulfill the purpose God has set for
my life.
I believe that
with as much that lies within me, I can learn to
live in unity, harmony, fellowship, friendship and
right relationship with God and my fellow man.
I will strive
for the advancement of this church by partaking of
its ordinances, submitting to its disciplines and
doctrine; and, being faithful with my support in
attendance, prayers, tithes, offerings, and positive
reflection in regards to others to ignite,
influence, and persuade with expectation of growth
in membership and discipleship. |
